About Dr. Aaron Glade
Dr. Glade is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Washington and a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist. He earned his Ph.D. at The Ohio State University where he also taught undergraduate courses in counseling, marital relationships, family studies, and child development.
Addiction and Trauma Treatment
Dr. Glade specializes in working with individuals and couples dealing with problematic and compulsive sexual behavior (such as compulsive pornography use and other forms of sexual acting out). He is a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT), trained by Dr. Patrick Carnes, a pioneer in the treatment of compulsive sexual behaviors. Dr. Glade also specializes in treating trauma and is a trained EMDR provider. He has extensive experience treating such complex issues as sexual, physical and emotional abuse and betrayal trauma.
General Therapeutic Practice and Academic History
Dr. Glade also works with individuals, couples and families as a general practice marriage and family therapist. Dr. Glade’s research in the field of Marital and Family Therapy has been presented at several national conferences. Additionally, his work has been published in national research journals such as the Journal of Marital and Family Therapy, American Journal of Family Therapy, Journal of Adolescent Health and Addictive Behaviors.
Dr. Glade is a Seattle native and returned to the Northwest in 2007 to enter private practice after spending many years in the academic world as a student, university instructor, researcher and clinical therapist. He enjoys baseball, softball, good food, and spending time with family.
